Hi buddies,
There are a few updates about She’s Friendly that I would like to share and hopefully get your thoughts on.
The She’s Friendly podcast is now called Friend Zone. I had already been referring to it by this name in my notes, so I made the change. It makes me chuckle, reflects the intention behind the podcast, and gives designated space to the concept.
With Friend Zone, I want to host and interview friends and strangers and share our conversations. I still need to dedicate time to thinking about the most sustainable and impactful way to continue making these episodes. I am working on two for you to listen to right now (I’m behind)!
I’m considering dividing out the content that arrives on the first of the month and setting a subscription tier. Readers would receive two monthly newsletters, one on the first featuring Hot or Not (and accompanying sections) and one mid-month featuring the personal essay (the “introduction”).
The subscription tiers are tricky. Substack requires the minimum monthly subscription to be $5. So, this is what I am looking at and proposing to you.

What I want to know is: Will I lose you if I put a paywall up? Do you have thoughts on the cost? Does this division of content seem right? What can I do to entice you further? How can I increase your excitement when you see “She’s Friendly” in your inbox? Please respond directly, email, or text me.
Thank you for reading all my updates. I hope this transparency brings us closer.
Yours,
Courtney
